Okay, it has been a week since our last round. Due to travel and schedules we had to wait a bit for round 3, but since we knocked out the first two rounds in our first two days, we were not too anxious.
This week we had $4.00 to work with after Round 1 saw $1.00 turn into $2.00, and Round 2 saw $2.00 turn into $4.00 (actually $8.23, read the Round 2 post for more details). So today we ran over to the Franklin, TN Goodwill store to see if we could find anything to flip.
The first thing we saw as we walked in the door was a table full of “Logo Bandz,” which is another type of those rubber band bracelets things. They were selling them by the box, which contained 12 packs of 20 bands per pack. They were priced at $1.99 per box, which we found out was a pretty good deal! Especially since we found the individual packs of 20 being sold on eBay for $3-4 per pack! There was one box of NFL licensed Logo Bandz, and several boxes of NBA branded as well as Justice League branded bands. We chose the NFL and NBA branded ones and went over to cash register to check out.
As we were checking out we discovered that the table these were on qualified them for 50% off! So…instead of 2 boxes, we bought 4! Four boxes for $4 and each potentially worth $36-$48 on eBay!
Within an hour, we had sold the NFL branded box for $8.00 so our round 3 is complete! In the next few hours we sold an NBA branded box and the Justice League box, each for $8.00, and as this is being typed, we still have one more NBA branded box! So…Round 3 is a success, with $4.00 quickly becoming $8.00, and at least $16 going into our extra side account!
